Cinema for the community
“How is it possible to give so much with as little?”
With this program Ascendere brought the magic of cinema to the island as a source of popular entertainment and also as a powerful medium for educating citizens. All movies are carefully selected to exclude gratuitous violence and to favor those that carry messages that defend the universal human values.
Ascendere as two home cinemas systems in the island. The first is installed in the “cultural center” in the main town and the second is a travelling home cinema that is used in the rural communities.
This action is a partnership with the Regional Government, some active residents in the rural communities and the local priest.
